Job description: Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team in Bland County Virginia, as well as our sister company in Princeton, WV. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. This role requires excellent driving skills, customer service abilities, and a commitment to safety while assisting customers in need. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles to designated locations. Perform automotive diagnostics and minor repairs as needed during towing operations. Load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck, ensuring secure transport. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and managing conflicts professionally. Maintain accurate records of towing activities, including vehicle condition and any repairs performed. Conduct routine inspections of the tow truck to ensure it is in safe working condition. Collaborate with dispatch to respond promptly to towing requests and emergencies. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Previous experience as a tow truck driver or in a similar role is highly desirable. Skills in conflict management to handle challenging situations effectively. Experience operating forklifts may be beneficial for loading and unloading tasks. A solid understanding of driving safety regulations and best practices is essential.
