Company Overview Timber Ridge School is a year-round residential treatment center licensed and fully accredited school. Our campus is located just 20 miles northwest of Winchester, Virginia in the scenic Shenandoah Valley. Job Summary We are seeking a full-time driver. Responsibilities include transporting and supervising students, transporting mail and other supplies and cleaning and maintaining school vehicles Responsibilities Provides transportation as necessary for students for medical appointments, etc. Handles money and pharmaceuticals, providing appropriate receipts and paperwork as necessary for the documentation of such transactions. Interacts with the public, including personnel and professionals in health and dental provider's facilities. Responsible for ensuring that the paperwork required by health, dental, and all other medical providers is reliably conveyed to the provider's office and to Health Services' staff at Timber Ridge School. Maintains the privacy and confidentiality of student medical records and information as required by law and the policy of Timber Ridge School. Supervises students as assigned, while transporting students and as assigned to assist on or off campus. Exercises good judgment while working with students in varying situations, including the maintenance of healthy boundaries and displaying responsible role model behaviors. Picks up and delivers mail to/from the post office, as needed. Provides transportation for materials and supplies needed at the facility, including loading and unloading items in school vehicles. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, assists with the inspection and cleaning of vehicles, doing so in a consistent manner. Trip ticket reviews, filling and follow ups will be completed by the Driver. Requirements High school diploma or G.E.D. Valid Driver's License and safe driving record. Minimum one year professional driving experience. Familiar with the operation and maintenance of assigned motor vehicles. The physical stamina and agility to manage young, active, disruptive students. The physical, emotional and mental ability to sustain activities with challenging students for long periods of time. Ability to monitor the students' behavior, including the ability to hear the students' voices and movements and the ability to clearly see the students' facial expressions and movements. Ability to lift at least 25 pounds Ability to travel in the community and up to 200 miles from campus with student(s). Ability to safely operate automobiles and 15-passenger vehicles. Ability to use a computer and other electronic office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include excellent distance vision, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
