Job Description

The Class B Driver supports production, maintenance, and field operations by safely operating Class B commercial vehicles such as dump trucks. This role involves transporting materials, rock, equipment, and waste products to and from jobsites while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and Jay-Bee's safety standards.
Essential Job Functions:
Operates Class B vehicles (dump trucks, and box trucks) to transport materials between field locations. Conducts safe loading/unloading, including operating pumps, valves, dump beds, or hoppers. Performs DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reports repair needs promptly. Maintains all required documentation such as ELD logs, tickets, and inspection reports. Supports field operations by hauling water, fill material, gravel, equipment, and waste as assigned. Works closely with dispatch and site supervisors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Uses proper PPE and adheres to company safety guidelines, including hazard identification and defensive driving. Safely navigates narrow lease roads, rural routes, and active oilfield locations. Assists with minor vehicle maintenance and reports safety concerns immediately. Provides general yard support or field assistance during downtime. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record. At least 1-2 years of Class B driving experience; oilfield or construction industry experience strongly preferred. Current DOT Medical Card. Tanker endorsement preferred (or willingness to obtain). Knowledge of DOT rules, Class B vehicle operation, and oilfield hauling practices. Ability to operate tankers, water trucks, or dump trucks with skill and precision. Proficiency in completing daily logs and using electronic logging systems. Strong judgement, situational awareness, and safety mindset. Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and field teams. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work variable shifts, weekends, and extended hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating dump trucks is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 75 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, kneeling, and extended standing. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions with exposure to dust, noise, extreme temperatures, and oilfield terrain. Must be capable of operating manual transmission vehicles and navigating uneven ground. Frequent exposure to heavy equipment, moving vehicles, and high-activity field environments.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
