Job Description

This is part-time work in the protection of life through the enforcement of traffic regulations. This job requires you to work outside regardless of weather conditions.

EXAMPLES OF WORK

(Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions of this class.) Remains in the vicinity of the greatest danger to children going to and from school. Controls the traffic of children and vehicles to allow safe street crossings. Slows fast-moving traffic passing a school. Reports reckless drivers and traffic violators. Testifies in court relating to traffic violations. Assists school patrol in controlling traffic and street crossings. Performs related work as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be certified by a licensed physician, designated as satisfactory by the appointing authority, in good health, and physically fit for the performance of assigned duties.
