FULL TIME SERVICER FOR SOUTHEAST AREA TRANSIT DISTRICT

The District is the region's public transportation provider with a strong public service ethic. We are looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail-oriented individual who enjoys making a difference, a quick learner who can take the initiative, is safety-driven, and enjoys being part of a small team that takes pride in their service to the community.

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleans, fuels and services all SEAT vehicles
Records fluid levels and mileages; Reviews and files inspection reports.
Vaults fareboxes
Parks buses and drives buses to routes.
Reports and records vehicle and facility defects
Performs minor mechanical repairs on fleet and facilities.
Maintains grounds, including grass cutting and snow plowing.
Occasionally performs janitorial work.
Completes daily reports and other paperwork as required.

Must be available to work nights, and weekends including Sundays.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

HS Diploma or GED.
At least 21 years old, CDL license preferred (Class A or B).
No more than one (1) moving violation in the last three years.
Ability to work nights and weekends and maximum hours per day to not exceed CT Hours of Service.
Must not have outside employment that interferes with employment at SEAT.
Ability to pass DOT physical exam and pending CDL tests, pre-employment testing meeting physical requirements of the position.
Ability to travel for training.
Must be able to effectively read, write and comprehend Basic English
Subject to drug and alcohol testing under Federal Transit Administration regulations.

Starting pay rate:
