Job Description
FULL TIME SERVICER FOR SOUTHEAST AREA TRANSIT DISTRICT
The District is the region's public transportation provider with a strong public service ethic. We are looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail-oriented individual who enjoys making a difference, a quick learner who can take the initiative, is safety-driven, and enjoys being part of a small team that takes pride in their service to the community.JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans, fuels and services all SEAT vehicles
- Records fluid levels and mileages; Reviews and files inspection reports.
- Vaults fareboxes
- Parks buses and drives buses to routes.
- Reports and records vehicle and facility defects
- Performs minor mechanical repairs on fleet and facilities.
- Maintains grounds, including grass cutting and snow plowing.
- Occasionally performs janitorial work.
- Completes daily reports and other paperwork as required.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- HS Diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years old, CDL license preferred (Class A or B).
- No more than one (1) moving violation in the last three years.
- Ability to work nights and weekends and maximum hours per day to not exceed CT Hours of Service.
- Must not have outside employment that interferes with employment at SEAT.
- Ability to pass DOT physical exam and pending CDL tests, pre-employment testing meeting physical requirements of the position.
- Ability to travel for training.
- Must be able to effectively read, write and comprehend Basic English
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing under Federal Transit Administration regulations.
