Compensation:
$18.00 per hour Position Summary The Chassis Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of truck and trailer chassis components. This is a production-based role that ensures all equipment meets operational and safety standards in accordance with Union Pacific compliance schedules. Key Responsibilities Perform brake drum service, tire replacement, and ABS system diagnostics
Conduct electrical troubleshooting and air hose repairs
Weld on boxes and chassis frames as needed
Photograph each job before work begins and after completion
Log all repairs accurately and maintain detailed records
Assign Daily Repairs to crew
Verify and maintain accurate daily tire counts
Follow all Union Pacific safety procedures
Meet daily production targets and support production coverage as required Qualifications Welding experience preferred; certification not required
Reliable attendance and commitment to production-based work
Must be able to cover production demands as needed
Basic Computer Skills to scan and forward all documents and photos of repairs Work Schedule Shift may Vary (Morning
Standard 40 hour work week
