Services Summary:
The Chief Inspector is directly responsible for inspection including overseeing, directing and orienting technicians to their work in accordance with task requirements and in-line with the Company Repair Station procedures and requirements, ensuring compliance to
FAA/EASA/CAAC
regulations while delivering efficient high-quality work with safety being their uncompromised priority. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Responsible for the overall operation of the Quality Control/Assurance department and has the final authority in the releasing to service of airframes, engines, propellers, appliances and the component parts thereof. Assist, supervise, and direct all personnel assigned to the Quality Control Department. Assure that all inspections are properly performed and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by the Repair Station are completed and executed prior to releasing the product for return to service. Perform audits and keep a log for all contract maintenance vendors as per
FAR 145.217.
Acts as a liaison to the FAA on the behalf of the repair station "accountable manager" concerning regulatory matters. He may request and accept new or amended Operational Specifications. Responsible for implementing and oversight of the repair station training program. Establishes that calibrated tooling used in the accomplishment of maintenance is in suitable condition and have been calibrated within the established time period.

Responsible for submitting SDR to the FAA as per FAR 145.221Assure the proper execution of a maintenance release.

Guide the final acceptance of all incoming material, including new parts, supplies, and the airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed outside the Repair Station.

Monitor company procedures and recommend changes to assure compliance with existing Federal Aviation Regulations.

Responsible for obtaining subscription and keeping Technical Data current used by the repair station.

Education & Experience:
You possess a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant License are eligible for Inspection AuthorizationYou have High School Diploma and 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within the aviation industryYou have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a working A&P working on heavy commercial aircraft (Boeing 757, 767, 777, Airbus
A330, A320
) and associated componentsYou can demonstrate working knowledge of aircraft modifications and documentation requirementsYou are thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment and tools used to determine the airworthiness of the article on which maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations are being performed You have a high-energy personality and desire to learn and grow quicklyCan demonstrate a strong track record of excellent decision-making and collaborative workYou possess excellent, polished communication skillsYou can demonstrate proficiency in using the various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the article/s being inspectedYou can read, write, and speak the English language fluently
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
While performing the responsibilities of the Quality Technician, you will be seated at a desk, using a phone and computer, for much of your workday. When fulfilling inspection duties, physical requirements may include walking long distances, crouching, crawling, standing on ladders or scaffolds, using hoists and lifts, using precision instruments, and other necessary hand tools requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity. These job duties may be performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment, or outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (when safe).
