This role leads the entire inspection function of an FAA Part 145 repair station handling commercial aircraft landing gear, APUs, and accessories. The right candidate brings extensive Airbus and Boeing landing gear inspection expertise and a history of driving airworthiness, workmanship, and first-pass yield across multiple shops. Quality Control Manager:

10 or more years of inspection experience within FAA Part 145 repair stations Prior tenure as a Chief Inspector or Quality Control Manager Extensive commercial landing gear inspection background, with Airbus and Boeing overhaul knowledge required Proven experience leading and developing inspection teams Deep command of overhaul manuals, approved technical data, and regulatory requirements FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred Familiarity with calibration programs and non-conforming material control Strong communication skills and attention to detail Responsibilities of the

Direct all inspectors and Chief Inspectors across landing gear, APU, and accessory shops Oversee receiving, in-process, and final inspection activity while standardizing methods across departments Review airworthiness documentation and authorize return-to-service packages Investigate quality escapes and monitor trends in workmanship and non-conformances Balance inspection workload and coordinate priorities with production Build inspector competency, training, and development programs Maintain calibration compliance and support customer source inspections Collaborate with production leadership to raise first-pass yield If this sounds like you or someone you know, click Apply or share the job today!
