Job Description

Job Summary Veterans Alliance is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to support a premier aircraft maintenance operation in Reno, Nevada. This position will play a critical role in ensuring aircraft maintenance and modification work meets applicable FAA requirements, approved technical data, and established quality standards. The Inspector will conduct inspections, verify completed work, and provide return-to-service approval within the Repair Station's authorized capabilities. The role will also provide opportunities to assist with hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer aircraft support. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate:
$45.00-$52.00/hour (DOE) Direct Hire Opportunity Overtime opportunities available Shift differential may be available based on schedule Relocation assistance may be available Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options 401(k) with company match Life and disability insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Employee discount programs and additional company benefits Qualifications FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required Minimum 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience required, with turbofan-powered business aircraft experience preferred Previous experience performing aircraft maintenance, inspections, and alterations in a professional aviation environment Strong understanding of aircraft inspection procedures, maintenance practices, tools, equipment, and approved technical data Working knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft airworthiness requirements Ability to accurately evaluate completed maintenance and determine whether work is acceptable for return to service Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, technical publications, and other approved maintenance data Comfortable working independently with limited supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities Ability to work effectively with technicians, inspectors, supervisors, and customers Willingness and ability to complete required aircraft and Repair Station training Key Responsibilities Inspect aircraft maintenance, repairs, and alterations to verify compliance with approved technical data and applicable FAA requirements Verify completed maintenance work and authorize return to service within the scope of the Repair Station's ratings Conduct inspections at the Reno facility as well as customer and remote locations when required Identify maintenance discrepancies, deficiencies, and potential airworthiness concerns and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken Assist with aircraft troubleshooting, system fault isolation, component replacement, adjustments, and repairs Remove and install aircraft components as necessary to facilitate maintenance and inspection activities Perform basic mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks within areas of qualification Review maintenance documentation and ensure inspection and work records are complete, accurate, and properly executed Sign and certify maintenance and inspection records in accordance with company procedures and FAA requirements Support aircraft maintenance activities conducted under a Production Certificate environment Provide technical assistance and support to maintenance personnel and customers when appropriate Assist with line service activities, including aircraft fueling and defueling when required Maintain familiarity with applicable Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), and regulatory requirements Promote a strong safety and quality culture while maintaining accountability for all work inspected or performed Work collaboratively with maintenance, quality, operations, and customer personnel to support efficient aircraft turnarounds Perform additional maintenance or inspection duties as assigned based on qualifications and operational needs Work Schedule Full-Time, on-site position
Location:
Reno, Nevada Schedule flexibility required to support aircraft maintenance operations Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as operational requirements dictate Occasional travel to customer or off-site aircraft locations may be required Preferred Qualifications Previous Quality Control Inspector experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station Experience working with Falcon or other business jet aircraft Strong background maintaining turbofan-powered business aircraft Experience with aircraft modifications, inspections, troubleshooting, and return-to-service procedures Experience supporting customer aircraft in the field or at AOG locations Familiarity with RVSM requirements and associated inspections FAR 91.411 and
FAR 91.413
inspection experience or training Avionics systems experience Aircraft engine-specific training Manufacturer or airframe-specific initial training Human Factors training Military aviation maintenance experience applicable to business aircraft or commercial MRO operations
Veteran-Friendly Employer Pay:
