Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance; report any issues promptly. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries or pickups across designated local routes. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, addressing their needs professionally, and ensuring a positive experience during every interaction. Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when loading or unloading cargo or luggage, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, mileage logs, and client interactions for compliance and reporting purposes. Follow all state transportation regulations and company policies related to passenger safety, vehicle operation, and operational procedures. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver or shuttle driver with a strong understanding of local driving routes. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type; clean driving record required. Experience with GPS navigation systems and maintaining effective communication with clients and dispatch teams. Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and manual handling safety standards. Ability to adhere strictly to traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety protocols at all times. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to perform routine checks and minor repairs when necessary.
