Work Experience Requirements:
Verbal and written communication skills
Clock in no earlier than a half hour before departure time, to prep and inspect van.
An ability to handle emergency situations
Complies with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential resident information.
Must be able to assist passengers with physical needs as required, including their entry and exit from the vans.
Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record. Must qualify as a safe driver with Enterprise.
Must complete all assigned Paylocity training.
CPR / First Aid Certification required.
Enterprise will frequently Drug Test
High school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
Will be indoors and outdoors frequently in a variety of weather conditions.
Sit for long periods of time.
Climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
Must be able to work in different types of weather conditions.
Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Job Summary:
The Van Driver will represent Buena Vida Estates. You will transport residents to their destinations in a timely and safe manner. You need driving skills, experience driving a large 14 passenger vehicle, open availability, a clean driving record, and a valid driver's license. In addition to driving skills, you also need communication and customer service skills. Interacting with residents is a major part of our service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates the assigned vehicle according to all motor vehicle laws.
Provides transportation services to residents while conforming to approved policies.
Ensure that our residents are given fair and equitable treatment.
Practices defensive driving techniques.
Maintains established routes and time schedules.
Note:
Safety is the top priority even if delays disrupt the van schedule.
Performs pre-trip, inspections, and first aid supplies.
Coordinates preventive maintenance with the Lifestyle Director.
Maintain fuel level at ½ tank. Keeps interior of van clean and sanitized.
Interact with residents, staff, and public professionally at all times.
