Responsibilities Safely operate a range of passenger vehicles such as personal cars, vans, limousines, shuttle buses, and other commercial vehicles on local routes or designated schedules. Follow all traffic laws and state transportation regulations to ensure passenger safety at all times. Plan routes using GPS navigation tools for efficient travel and timely arrivals. Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing courteous customer service throughout the journey. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Handle heavy lifting when necessary for luggage or equipment transfers while adhering to proper manual handling procedures. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pick-up times, route changes, or delays to maintain transparency and satisfaction. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver with a strong understanding of local driving routes. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software. Experience operating various passenger vehicles including vans, limousines, shuttle buses, and medical transportation vehicles such as paratransit services. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety protocols, and state transportation regulations governing commercial driving. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling luggage or equipment. Strong attention to detail for vehicle maintenance checks and adherence to safety standards. Good communication skills for client interaction and coordination with team members or dispatch centers.
