Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an Assisted Living Transporter, where your role is vital in ensuring safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for residents within our assisted living community. You will be responsible for safely transporting residents to medical appointments, recreational activities, and other destinations while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives by providing dependable transportation services that promote independence and well-being. Duties Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, or personal vehicles to transport residents within local routes. Assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Adhere to all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and proper functioning. Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and clients to coordinate schedules and address any special needs or concerns. Handle heavy lifting when assisting residents with mobility aids or luggage, following proper manual handling procedures. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs for compliance and reporting purposes. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur driving in various settings such as medical transportation or personal vehicle delivery. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and timely arrivals. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while assisting residents with mobility challenges. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with residents, families, and staff members. Familiarity with local driving routes, heavy lifting techniques, and adherence to traffic regulations including state transportation laws. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety standards are met. Demonstrated reliability with a positive attitude toward client communication and service excellence.
