Bus Mechanic / Diesel Fleet Technician

Transit Maintenance Corp is hiring an experienced Bus Mechanic / Diesel Fleet Technician for steady fleet maintenance work in Selma, CA. We are looking for a reliable mechanic who can inspect, diagnose, repair, maintain, and road test buses and fleet vehicles. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with strong pay, weekly work, benefits, and room to grow.

Pay & Schedule:

• $35.00 per hour to start
• Full-time
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Overtime available as needed
• Weekly pay / direct deposit

Location:

Selma, CA Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buses and fleet vehicles
• Diagnose and repair air brake, suspension, electrical, cooling, engine, HVAC, and general mechanical issues
• Inspect vehicles for safety and roadworthiness
• Road test buses when required
• Maintain accurate service notes and repair documentation
• Communicate clearly with management and fleet staff
• Follow all shop safety and DOT-related requirements

Requirements:

• 3+ years of bus, diesel, fleet, or heavy-duty mechanic experience preferred
• Experience with air brakes, suspension, electrical, PM services, and diagnostics preferred
• Valid California driver's license required
• Clean DMV record preferred
• Class B license with air brake endorsement preferred
• Must be able to pass required pre-employment screening
• Must be reliable, professional, and able to work independently
• Own basic hand tools preferred

License Support:

Class B license with air brake endorsement is preferred. For the right candidate, TMC may assist with Class B and air brake training, DMV fees, and testing costs.
