Note:
Candidates applying for this role must be eligible for getting security clearance whenever needed by the client Position Overview We are seeking a consultant-level Business Analyst / Technical Writer to support the planning and execution of a fast-paced information security assessment program across multiple state-level agencies. This role will focus on identifying security risks, measuring compliance, and delivering high-quality documentation and reporting to leadership. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring quality assurance of deliverables, maintaining program documentation, and supporting overall program execution in a structured and efficient manner. Program Scope Assessment of shared and common IT services and security controls Evaluation of agency-owned services and security controls Tracking assessment progress and resolving issues Documenting and presenting assessment findings to leadership Reporting results at agency, sector, and statewide levels Gathering requirements and recommending program improvements Developing policies, plans, processes, and procedures for information security initiatives Key Responsibilities Provide status reporting on operational tasks and project activities Define and track metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) Create and maintain documentation including policies, procedures, SOPs, process flows, and manuals Review and ensure consistency and accuracy of documentation from internal teams and vendors Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables Support change, risk, and resource management activities Document meetings, decisions, and communications Develop and present program updates to leadership and stakeholders Communicate program strategy, direction, and updates across IT and business teams Track key milestones and recommend adjustments to project plans Utilize Microsoft Office tools extensively for documentation and reporting Required Skills Strong technical writing expertise with proven experience Ability to create clear and effective process flows and diagrams (e.g., Visio, PowerPoint) Preferred Skills Experience managing multiple reporting requirements simultaneously Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills Experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives 5+ years of technical writing experience Experience creating SOP documentation and visual process diagrams Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities Capability to identify, map, and support business processes For more details reach at resumes@navitassols.com.
