Business Data Analyst

In-Person Interview needed, Only Locals in Los Angeles Scope of Work This technical liaison identifies business issues and designs reporting solutions for various stakeholders. The role focuses on building departmental consensus and providing technical support for tools like SSRS, Power BI, and ServiceNow to ensure data visibility.

The tasks include:

Meet with program staff to identify business-level issues and design practical solutions for department stakeholders. Work with users to ensure they can effectively use both new and existing reports within the department. Lead efforts to build consensus on data and reporting needs across different internal divisions and external city departments. Provide technical support for SSRS, Power BI and ServiceNow to maintain high data quality and clear visibility for all stakeholders. Analyze and clean data, publish data to Open Data, develop custom SSRS/Power BI reports and GIS maps upon request, create report definitions and user guides, and provide user training. 2. Required Skill Sets and Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in a data or business analyst role with a focus on gathering requirements from program staff. Proficiency in using SQL to extract data and create reports with Power BI and SSRS. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for managing data workflows and reporting. Expertise in ETL processes and data warehousing to manage and organize complex datasets. Strong communication skills to explain technical report data to non-technical business stakeholders
