Job Description

TIU Community Education Services invites applications for Business Solutions Representative based out of the PA Careerlink Centre County. Deadline to apply is May 29, 2026. To be considered for an open position, applicants must upload the following required clearances: Act 24 Arrest and Conviction Report Act 34 Pennsylvania Criminal History Clearance Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance Act 114 Federal Criminal History Clearance Links to these clearances can be found here: https://www.tiu11.org/human-resources/ The Business Solutions Representative for the TIU Community Education & Workforce Services shall be directly responsible to the CEWS Director and/or assigned staff for supervision and evaluation. Fundamental Duties/Essential Functions Serve as agency Business Solutions Representative, establish relationship between PA CareerLink® and employers/business community using a Consultative Selling approach. Understand local labor market information and analyze and apply data to better serve customers. Provide presentations to local businesses on PA CareerLink® services, labor market information and other workforce topics. Understand and assist local businesses with workforce needs. Work collaboratively with PA CareerLink® partner staff to complete job orders, conduct business visits, arrange business meetings, host job fairs, accomplish special PA CareerLink® initiatives, etc. Work with partner staff to identify customers' job placement needs and develop appropriate job opportunities. Develop internships, work experience opportunities, On-the-Job (OJT) training, tours and business speakers/panels as needed. Assist customers with their individual needs using various PA CareerLink® resources, refer to jobs by matching interests, skills, and qualifications, and determine program eligibility as needed. Support local site operations as determined by PA CareerLink® Administrator and approved by Regional Business Services Coordinator to include participation in Career Resource Area staffing, WorkKeys® Proctoring, and development/execution of marketing materials. Coordinate on the job training/subsidized wage process including completion of contracts, reimbursement submissions, and required follow-up contacts. Provide workforce related activities to assist job seekers with job search and technology as needed. Develop outreach material to highlight business needs and promote events. Attend and actively participate in all staff meetings, in-service training, in-house or regional committees, and business related community committees and activities. Submit required reports/documents and complete data entry requirements in a timely manner. Support regional/state initiatives by conducting outreach and sharing information with businesses as needed. Lift, move, carry and otherwise transport supplies and office equipment within office(s) and to external locations. Maintain confidentiality of customer and agency information. Perform other tasks as assigned by director and other supervisory staff. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Individuals must possess these skills, knowledge and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with others in all levels of group and individual contacts including group presentations. Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as necessary. Ability to work independently with good time management skills. Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 35 pounds. Ability to use technology proficiently in all aspects of position. Ability to present oneself in a business-like manner to include personal appearance and a pleasant demeanor to others. Ability to practice a high level of confidentiality. Knowledge of and ability to apply time management processes. Ability to apply concepts and information acquired from meetings, conferences, or related literature to accomplish project goals. Ability to use Excel and PowerPoint to support job responsibilities. Ability to produce quality marketing and outreach materials. Ability to work well with others. Willingness to travel for staff development activities, employer visits, and other work assignments. Ability to provide personal, reliable vehicle for travel requirements.
Qualification Standards Education:
possess an associate degree in education, business or human services OR 5 years of relevant experience required.
Experience:
Prior experience working with private sector business and industry. Prior experience working with workforce customers preferred.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
