Job Description:

WATAUGA COUNT POSITION OPENING

Watauga County Board of Elections is accepting applications for the position of temporary Election Officials/Office Clerks . This position performs a variety of duties to support the activities of the Board of Elections. Duties include secretarial responsibilities, communication with the general public, and the ability to lift voting equipment, which weighs up to 25 pounds. Graduation from high school, good typing and basic computer skills preferred. Being registered voter in Watauga County, and a background check is required. Salary $15 hourly (non-regular classification, no benefits). Position will require some training, and will work as needed beginning in late September until after the 2026 Election is complete.
