Quest2Freedom is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to addressing human trafficking through education, cultural awareness, strategic advocacy, and survivor-centered emergency transitional services. Board Member Role Overview Board members serve in a voluntary governance capacity and are responsible for advancing the mission, ensuring legal and ethical integrity, and stewarding organizational resources. This is not a paid position, and board members are expected to uphold fiduciary duties of care, loyalty, and obedience. Key Responsibilities Governance & Oversight Provide strategic direction, approve budgets, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. Board Participation Attend and actively contribute to regular board meetings, committee work, and strategic planning sessions. Advocacy for Victims Support initiatives that provide emergency transitional services (e.g., hotel stays, transportation) for survivors of trafficking. Training & Education Assist in the development and delivery of culturally informed training programs on human trafficking. Strategic Partnerships Help identify and cultivate relationships with nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies to expand our reach. Fundraising & Resource Development Participate in fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and resource mobilization to sustain and grow our programs. Compliance & Ethics Adhere to Quest2Freedom, Inc.'s bylaws, conflict of interest policy, and annual disclosure requirements. Qualifications Demonstrated commitment to ending human trafficking and supporting survivors. Experience in nonprofit governance, social work, law, education, public policy, or related fields. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to dedicate approximately a minimum 5-10 hours per month to board duties. Willingness to serve a [two-year] term, renewable once, per board policy. Commitment to Quest2Freedom, Inc.'s mission, values, and strategic goals.
