Job Description
Sundance Foundation is seeking an experienced and well-connected professional in Hillsborough County to join our Board of Directors and help strengthen our fundraising and community partnerships. This is a Board position The ideal candidate has prior nonprofit Board experience, regularly understands and participates in formal Board meetings, and has a proven track record of successful fundraising. We are seeking someone who is respected within the community and has strong connections with donors, corporations, foundations, civic organizations and community leaders. Who has a proven track record of successful fundraising within Hillsborough county. Responsibilities Attend and actively participate in Board meetings Help develop and support fundraising strategies Introduce Sundance Foundation to potential donors, sponsors and community partners Support donor cultivation, sponsorship outreach and fundraising initiatives Use professional and community relationships to help expand the organization's reach Provide governance, oversight and strategic guidance as a Board member Qualifications Previous nonprofit Board or advisory experience Experience attending and contributing to formal Board meetings Proven, measurable fundraising success Strong community, business and philanthropic connections Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Commitment to supporting survivors of domestic violence and housing stability Ability to follow through on agreed Board responsibilities Applicants should briefly describe their previous Board service, community involvement, fundraising accomplishments and the types of partnerships or donor relationships they have successfully developed.
