Part-Time, Volunteer Position Summary The Board Director provides governance, oversight, and strategic guidance for Guardians Grace, Inc. This is a part-time role, but active participation is essential to the organization's development, accountability, and long-term success. Board Directors do not manage daily operations. They help establish policy, approve major decisions, monitor finances and compliance, and ensure leadership remains aligned with the organization's mission. Responsibilities Attend and participate in Board meetings. Review and vote on policies, budgets, programs, and major decisions. Provide financial, legal, ethical, and strategic oversight. Support fundraising, partnerships, and community engagement. Serve on committees or assist with assigned areas of oversight. Maintain confidentiality and disclose conflicts of interest. Hold executive leadership accountable to Board-approved goals. Qualifications Strong judgment, integrity, and commitment to community service. Ability to review information and make responsible decisions. Willingness to contribute time, professional knowledge, and constructive feedback. Support for the Christian mission and values of Guardians Grace. Leadership, nonprofit, business, public safety, healthcare, ministry, legal, financial, or community-service experience is preferred. Commitment Directors must attend scheduled meetings, review materials in advance, respond to important Board matters, and remain consistently engaged. Although part-time, this is an active leadership position and not an honorary title.
