USCIS - Communications Strategist and Organizational Change Management (OCM) Journeyman

Savvee Inc. is seeking a thoughtful Communications Strategist and Organizational Change Management (OCM) Journeyman to support our federal client onsite in Camp Springs, MD. The ideal candidate will shape clear, audience-focused communication and change strategies that guide leaders and stakeholders through transformation. • Current or prior USCIS and/or DHS experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Developing executive and stakeholder communication strategies.
• Supporting organizational change initiatives.
• Drafting messaging, briefs, FAQs, and training materials.
• Supporting adoption, readiness, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensuring compliance with Section 508 and Plain Language.
• Supporting operational readiness, adoption planning, and feedback loops during phased deployments.
• Performing additional duties as assigned in support of evolving contract requirements and client needs.
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
  
• Prosci Change Management certification or equivalent
  

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Seven or more years of communications or change management experience
  
• Must have the ability to obtain the client's suitability
  
• A proficiency in utilizing MS Office products
  
• Proven familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and responsible use of AI-assisted tools
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• A highly motivated self-starter
  
• Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
  

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with DHS or USCIS program communications
  
• Experience developing public-facing and executive-level communications
  
• Knowledge of Plain Language and Section 508 accessibility standards
  
• Experience with Adobe Suite, Microsoft products, Mural, infographics, surveys, and FAQs
  
• Experience supporting operational readiness, user training, and phased technology deployment
