Business Continuity ConsultantLocation:
Fort Mill, South Carolina (3 days onsite, 2 Remote)
Duration:
3+ months with potential to extend and or convert FTE Role OverviewThis role provides leadership and direct support for the development, implementation, and evolution of the firm's enterprise resiliency and business continuity programs. The position involves translating program requirements for business unit partners into actionable activities to improve business continuity processes and controls. This includes conducting business impact analyses, risk assessments, testing, and providing crisis management support. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and contribute to the maturation of the Enterprise Resiliency policy, strategies, processes, and procedures.
Develop relationships and gain buy-in of business continuity objectives from key stakeholders.
Provide leadership and consulting in the execution of the Business Continuity Lifecycle, including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Plan Development, and Testing activities.
Contribute to the development and execution of resiliency training.
Participate in enterprise threat monitoring and support event response, management, and crisis communications.
Proactively identify resiliency risk issues, document risks, and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct third-party business continuity assessments and review business continuity contract language.
Interface with internal partners to support the tracking of resiliency issue remediation efforts.
Contribute to the development of resiliency risk status reports for management.
Provide support in the response to actual or potential business disrupting events.
Required QualificationsEducation:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Financial Services, Technology, or Consulting is required.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a resiliency role, such as Business Continuity, Crisis Management, or Disaster Recovery, is necessary.
Licenses/Certifications:
A Business Continuity Certification (MBCP, CBCP, or BCI equivalent) is needed. Successful attainment of CBCP certification within the first 6 months is a condition of employment.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with BCP planning and incident management tools (such as Archer GRC, Everbridge, NC4, GETS/WPS) and knowledge of process, risk, and controls frameworks are required. Core CompetenciesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively on a geographically dispersed team.
Ability to provide leadership and influence within a dotted line organizational structure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal relationship-building ability.
Must be self-motivated, willing to take on challenges, and adaptable to support and adopt change.
