Job Description

at State of Delaware in Newark, Delaware, United States Job Description The Casual Seasonal Business Process Analyst will be responsible for consolidating existing process documentation from multiple sources into a structured, standardized format that clearly defines end-to-end workflows, procedures, and decision points. This role is focused on synthesis, not discovery. The analyst will leverage previously gathered materials, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and produce logically organized workflows that support operational understanding, validation, and downstream implementation efforts. Given limited availability of subject matter experts, the analyst must operate with a high degree of independence. Engagement with SMEs will be targeted and efficient, primarily for final validation rather than iterative development. Initial validation will be conducted through internal stakeholders prior to structured SME review sessions. To view the entire job announcement and apply, Click Here . Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Strong business process analysis and documentation skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, structured outputs. Ability to independently interpret incomplete or inconsistent information and make sound, defensible assumptions. Experience creating process flows, workflows, and procedural documentation that clearly represent end-to-end operations. Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail, particularly in identifying gaps and inconsistencies. Ability to facilitate structured validation discussions and drive toward closure with minimal iteration. Excellent written communication skills, particularly in producing professional, precise documentation. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple artifacts and inputs simultaneously.
Minimum Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in business analysis, process documentation, or operational analysis roles. Demonstrated experience consolidating and standardizing documentation from multiple sources. Experience working in environments with constrained SME availability, requiring efficient validation approaches. Proven ability to produce both narrative documentation and visual process flows (e.g., Visio or similar tools).
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met. Experience supporting system implementation, process transformation, or operational readiness initiatives is strongly preferred.
