Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property leasing processes, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations. This position requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively upsell properties to potential tenants while maintaining accurate records and files. Responsibilities Assist prospective residents in finding suitable rental properties by providing detailed information about available units. Administrative duties as needed include answering the phone, filing, etc. Customer service responsibilities include working with residents to resolve concerns and submitting service requests Touring residents on the community Assist with completion of required application and lease paperwork Assist with Marketing as needed Assist with community events and resident retention Utilize property management software such as RealPage for tracking applications, leases, and tenant communications. Maintain accurate files for all leasing activities, including contracts and tenant information. Uphold Fair Housing regulations in all interactions and transactions. Collaborate with the property management team to develop marketing strategies that enhance occupancy rates. Handle inquiries from current residents regarding lease renewals, maintenance requests, and community events. Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote the property and attract new tenants. Requirements Proven experience in sales or property management is preferred. HUD or affordable experience is a huge plus. Strong understanding of leasing laws and Fair Housing regulations. Familiarity with property management software, particularly RealPage or similar systems. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate files and records. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
