Job Description
Georgia Highlands College (GHC) is one of the fastest growing in colleges in Georgia. Founded in 1970, GHC has grown to five physical locations, offering over 40 areas of student with associate degree, bachelor's degree, and online degree options. You won't find a better career pathway at a more affordable rate anywhere. At Georgia Highlands College (GHC), we don't just educate-we power the future. The Director will serve as a bridge between GHC's functions and its mission, working with the Georgia Highlands College Foundation and the Office of the President to ensure that existing events align with the college's mission as well as cultivating new partnerships that will open doors to additional resources. It also serves as a strategic integrator of presidential priorities, ensuring alignment between institutional initiatives, engagement efforts and the college's broader mission. The Director focuses on advancing high-impact projects, strengthening institutional visibility through coordinated engagement strategies and supporting the President's Office through planning, analysis and executing of key initiatives. This position excludes administrative support and governmental relations functions. Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in communications, business, education or related field from an accredited institution; a minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience and proven record of significant experience in cultivating community relationships; experience in creating strategic content including written material and social media engagement; and familiarity with grant funding sources GHC offers a comprehensive benefits plan which consists of a choice between four (4) health care plans, dental, vision, short and long term disability, an HSA, life insurance, identity protection program, legal plan, Aflac and a retirement plan. Additionally, we offer paid time off and a winter break from Christmas Eve to January 2 nd each year.
