Masco is hiring a Principal, Market Intelligence & Performance Insights to strengthen and scale its enterprise Commercial Performance Management (CPM) capability. This role builds and advances a forward-looking, market-informed view of performance, helping leadership understand market conditions, assess changes in outlook, and compare growth across business units. Key Responsibilities Lead Market Growth Intelligence and Outlook Synthesis Integrate external indicators, business unit inputs, and commercial context into a clear enterprise view of market growth across Masco. Evolve reporting from descriptive updates to decision-relevant insight that explains what changed, why it changed, and what it means for the business. Partner with FP&A and Commercial Excellence leadership to support a consistent enterprise view of market growth assumptions and performance implications. Strengthen BU Market Outlook Practices and Alignment Partner with BU strategy, analytics, and commercial teams to understand how each business develops its market outlook, including key drivers, data sources, and methods. Share practical best practices across BUs and support greater alignment where it adds value, while preserving flexibility across business models and markets. Apply economic judgment in assessing approaches and assumptions to strengthen how market signals are interpreted and translated into practical outlooks. Measure Performance Relative to Market Establish a clear and consistent view of performance relative to market across business units, enabling leaders to understand whether the business is outperforming or underperforming market growth. Expand and Manage Market Intelligence Data Sources Identify, evaluate, and implement external data sources that strengthen market insight and address gaps across Masco and its business units. Manage shared data feeds used across multiple BUs to enable scale, consistency, and efficient access to critical market information. Ensure data sources are reliable, relevant, and actionable for business use. Translate Market, Customer, and Channel Shifts into Insight Monitor and interpret changes in consumer, pro, customer, channel, and broader industry behavior to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks. Connect these insights to business performance and strategic decision-making, helping Masco respond more effectively to shifts in demand, market structure, and customer needs across the enterprise. Qualifications 7-10 years of experience in economics, market intelligence, commercial strategy, business planning, performance management, or related analytics roles. Bachelor's degree required; degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Business, or a related field preferred. Advanced degree is a plus. Strong ability to synthesize imperfect data into a clear point of view on market conditions, outlook, and performance relative to market. Experience developing, evaluating, or interpreting market outlooks, forecasts, or similar analytical approaches used to inform business decisions. Commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to translate market signals into practical implications for business performance and leadership decisions. Strong judgment, communication, and structured problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess assumptions, indicators, and forecast methodologies. Experience partnering with senior commercial, strategy, and FP&A leaders in a matrixed, multi-business environment. $103,700.00 - $163,020.00 USD Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
