Maintain a repository/tracker of process documentation status, open questions, and stakeholder sign-offs. Present findings and documentation summaries to project sponsors and leadership as needed. Required Qualifications Proven, hands-on experience documenting business processes specifically within HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Finance functions. Strong working knowledge of Time & Attendance / Time Entry processes and how they integrate with payroll and finance. Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops or interviews with business stakeholders to elicit process information. Strong process mapping skills using standard notations (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN, swimlane diagrams). Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex, cross-functional processes into clear, structured documentation. Strong organizational skills and comfort managing documentation for multiple concurrent process areas. Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder relationships across departments without heavy day-to-day oversight. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with Paylocity (strongly preferred) or comparable HRIS/Payroll/Time & Attendance platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG/Kronos, Ceridian Dayforce). Experience supporting process documentation ahead of a systems implementation, migration, or process improvement/automation initiative. Familiarity with payroll compliance considerations (e.g., FLSA, multi-state payroll) as they relate to time entry and pay calculation processes. Prior experience in a consulting or shared-services environment supporting HR/Payroll/Finance operations. Deliverables AS-IS process maps/flowcharts for each in-scope process area (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Time Entry). Supporting process narratives and RACI documentation. Consolidated findings summary, including identified gaps, risks, and dependencies. Final documentation package delivered in an agreed format (e.g., Visio/PDF/Word/shared drive) with stakeholder sign-off. Success Criteria Documentation accurately reflects current-state processes as validated by process owners. Cross-functional dependencies and handoffs are clearly captured, particularly between Time Entry, Payroll, and Finance. Documentation is delivered in a consistent, reusable format that the business can maintain going forward.Benefits
