Business Solutions Consultant The Business Solutions Consultant is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with prospective clients, and helping businesses identify products and services that can improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and support growth. This position is primarily focused on business development, prospecting, relationship building, and consultative sales. The Business Solutions Consultant works directly with business owners and decision-makers to understand their current operations, identify challenges and opportunities, and recommend appropriate business solutions. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities through in-person prospecting, telephone outreach, email, networking, referrals, and other business development activities. Build and maintain relationships with business owners, managers, and key decision-makers. Conduct initial consultations to understand each client's business, operational needs, challenges, and objectives. Identify opportunities to improve business efficiency, reduce expenses, increase revenue, or improve customer experience. Introduce and explain available business products, services, and solutions. Schedule qualified appointments and consultations with prospective clients. Gather information and documentation necessary to evaluate potential solutions. Assist in preparing and presenting proposals and recommendations. Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective and existing clients. Develop referral relationships with other professionals and organizations serving the local business community. Maintain accurate records of prospects, appointments, opportunities, proposals, and follow-up activities using the company's CRM or tracking system. Meet or exceed established prospecting, appointment, sales, and business-development goals. Stay informed about company products, services, industry trends, and competitive solutions. Assist with client onboarding and maintain relationships following the initial sale. Identify opportunities to introduce additional products or services to existing clients. Represent the company professionally at networking events, community events, trade shows, and business meetings. Qualifications Previous experience in sales, business development, customer service, account management, or a related field preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable approaching and speaking with business owners and decision-makers. Ability to prospect independently and consistently. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Self-motivated and comfortable working toward measurable performance goals. Ability to identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions rather than relying solely on traditional product-based selling. Basic computer and CRM skills. Ability to learn new products, services, technologies, and industries. Professional appearance and demeanor. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for outside sales activities. Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is beneficial but not required: Business-to-business sales, merchant services, payment processing, POS systems, payroll services, bookkeeping, banking, telecommunications, insurance, hospitality, restaurant services, technology solutions, outside sales, or account management. Key Performance Expectations Success in this position will be measured through consistent prospecting activity, qualified appointments generated, new client acquisition, sales performance, client retention, referral development, and overall contribution to company growth.
