Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit CYFCP builds the capacity of families, service providers, researchers, teachers, and communities to promote the well-being of children and youth. In partnership with colleagues from across the university and the community, the center carries out basic, applied, and action research; translates research into effective programs and practice; infuses community perspectives into university research and teaching; facilitates strategic problem-solving processes; and promotes programs, practices, and policies that yield positive outcomes for children and their families. CYFCP promotes interdisciplinary research and leverages the University's resources to tackle community issues. The Center is funded primarily through a diverse portfolio of federal, state, local, and foundation grants and contracts. Position Summary The Business Officer is a member of the CYFCP leadership team. The Business Officer will manage the day-to-day operations of a robust center with 10 active areas of expertise encompassing 63 staff and total externally funded grants in excess of 13 million. This position will serve in a pre-and post-award capacity, develop and manage complex budgets related to the operations of the center as well as the external grants, participate in strategic planning of the center to continue its growth and expansion into other areas of expertise, and handle talent management for the center. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree and 1-2 yrs experience; or Bachelor's degree and 2-4 yrs experience. Experience in budgeting of a large, multifaceted program. Experience in Human Resources areas such as position development, personnel management, etc. Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
