ED NMs mission is to create a diverse, sustainable economy through strategic partnerships, policies, and programs that foster job creation and business development. Within the department, the Community, Business, and Rural Development team focuses on providing resources and support to communities, businesses, and rural areas to help them thrive. This team works on initiatives aimed at promoting economic opportunities, improving infrastructure, and supporting rural development projects that create lasting impact across New Mexico. Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date. Why does the job exist? This position will serve as the Financial Analysis and Incentive Support Representative for the Economic Development Division, providing core analytical, compliance, and administrative support for LEDA, JTIP, and related economic development programs. The position will serve as a program support representative and will build capacity and partnerships with internal teams, Economic Development Organizations (EDOs), businesses, and community partners to ensure accurate financial evaluation, effective program delivery, and strong economic outcomes statewide. How does it get done? Conduct financial analyses to assess business viability and risk. Provide technical assistance on financial documentation and incentive requirements. Support implementation of LEDA and JTIP by reviewing job, wage, and investment data. Coordinate with internal teams and community partners to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Prepare financial, incentive, and economic impact summaries. Serve as a liaison supporting communication, documentation, and compliance for incentive programs. Who are the customers?

Citizens of New Mexico Minimum Qualification Associate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting and one (1) year of directly related job experience in the areas of office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a current drivers license. Must obtain and maintain a state of New Mexico defensive driving certificate. Working Conditions Ability to manage and report work through appropriate software programs of the division or department. Work is performed in an office setting with extensive exposure to visual/video display terminal (VDT), personal computer and telephone usage. Sitting for long periods, bending, stooping to file and occasionally lifting a minimum of 25 pounds. Occasionally work extra hours, or on weekends and holidays.
