Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all specialized experience and time in grade requirements within 45 days of the closing date of this announcement, 09/18/2026. You may qualify for the GS-09 based on your education and/or experience, as described below:

Time-In-Grade Requirement :

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements within 45 days of the closing date of this announcement. For a GS09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If your most recent non-award SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Specialized Experience:

Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as interpreting administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to business initiatives, program goals, and objectives. Using analytical methods to assess and recommend improvements for program effectiveness and management processes and systems in order to maintain administrative operations. ~OR~

A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements:

The employee does sedentary work, such as sitting comfortably. There will be walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items. The employee will be expected to perform data capture analysis and interview staff members in the field at their job site and will require standing, walking on uneven terrain. Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process. As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
