Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience
  • A minimum of one (5) year relevant experience is required. Licenses & Certification
  • Certificate of completion of a Program or Training in related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of the Privacy Act regarding patient health information and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Intermediate skills to utilize a personal computer and its applications in Windows environment, specifically, skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point. Basic knowledge of data management including community assessment, gathering, and reporting of pre-specified data related to program evaluation. Experience in departmental budget management, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial oversight. Knowledge and skills in extracting data for analysis and reporting purposes Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients and their families, medical and administrative staff, health care professionals and the general public both orally and in writing. Ability to maintain a confident professional demeanor.
JOB SUMMARY
The Health Promotion Administrative Analyst supports the development and delivery of programs that encourage healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and improve the well-being of individuals and communities. This role focuses on engaging community members, delivering health education, and providing clerical and data management support to the Health Promotion & Wellness Director. Incumbent will provide data entry services for the Program and will assist in planning and coordinating events. Incumbent is under the immediate supervision of the Health Promotion & Wellness Director.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an office setting, primarily in the local community but also in various facilities located in communities throughout the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Health System designated service area. Incumbent will be required to travel to other MCN communities to assist with Health Promotion & Wellness activities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work requires repetitive data entry movement and eyestrain. Position requires driving a vehicle to facilities located within the MCN to assist with coordination and conducting program activities. Some of the activities will be outdoors and incumbent will be exposed to seasonal weather changes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Satisfactory job performance will be determined by successful execution of the following: Sets up and maintains Health Promotion & Wellness databases in the direction of the Health Promotion & Wellness Director for purposes of tracking individual and group information at baseline, during and following program activities. Uses program-specified queries to extract data for monitoring, program support and evaluation as directed by each Health Promotion & Wellness Educators. Sets up and maintains Excel spreadsheets to organize control data. Collects data for use in planning and evaluating intervention strategies. Prepare related Health Promotion & Wellness reports. Provides monthly activity reports that are community-specific and program-specific and assists in preparation of other administrative reports, studies, and specialized research projects as directed by the Health Promotion & Wellness Director. Maintains a records management system for the field office, including managing health promotion and educational materials and filing clinic documents in client records or the electronic health record system. Provides general administrative and clerical support to meet the goals and objectives of the Health Promotion & Wellness Program Educators. Assists in communication with program participants to provide individual reports, notification or reminders of new or on-going events, to gather data, troubleshoot or other purposes as directed by the Health Promotion & Wellness Director. Assists in developing and planning marketing activities and materials Orders program supplies to maintain adequate inventory. Regular attendance is required. Performs other duties as assigned.
