Position Summary:
Conduct analysis of company operations, systems, and workflows in order to design improvements.Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with supervisor on assignments to understand goals and define requirements/action plans
- Research hardware and software technologies to maintain awareness of industry standards and best practices
- Design solutions to make the best use of IT resources (e.g., staff, time, budget) to achieve process improvements
- Manage assigned tasks by priority with a focus on efficiency
- Propose solutions to supervisor and stakeholders for evaluation and approval
- Write detailed requirements for software developers and IT staff
- Collaborate with software developers to analyze alternatives, clarify requirements, and test solutions
- Collect and analyze information to evaluate current process efficiency/performance and propose improvements
- Manage enterprise software vendor accounts and maintain software licensing compliance
Additional Duties:
- Address escalated support/production cases
- Travel to domestic and international field offices, subsidiaries, and satellite companies
- Use existing database systems and associated software
- Collaborate on enterprise technology training content and deliver training to new employees
- As assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- An understanding of relational databases and how they are used within information systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Critical thinking and complex problem solving skills
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees
- Ability to communicate problems to others for support
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree from an accredited college or university required; Bachelors Degree preferred; Major or concentration in Information Technology/Systems/Science preferred
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a manufacturing or high tech environment
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
