Dell Products L.P. is seeking an Advisor, Commodity Management for its Round Rock, TX facility and can work remotely.
Duties:
Responsible for driving and supporting projects related to developing and implementing cost management, supplier strategy, and site transitions. Coordinate Dells cost interlock project team of cost analysts. Handle programs for cost management and savings initiatives across multiple Global Commodity Managers. Review new cost savings initiatives, conduct in depth data analysis, and review and validate spend and costs. Track and report progress to senior leadership in Procurement and Finance on a monthly basis. Work cross-functionally with various internal groups and external suppliers. Support and drive request for quotes with suppliers by providing critical data analysis of all responding suppliers and reviewing with our GCMs to make business award decisions. Maintain supplier relationships while resolving issues across functions.
Requirements:
Requires a Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field of study and 3 years of experience in supply chain management, project management or related occupation. Alternatively a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field of study and 5 years of experience in supply chain management, finance, project management or related occupation.
Requires experience with:
Global supply chain project management; manufacturing footprint and business environments; working cross-functionally with stakeholders to resolve business; procurement and purchasing of manufacturing industry, including supply chain models, supplier landscape, and cost drivers; applying supply chain techniques to resolve business challenges, avoid cost impact and identify cost saving opportunities; synthesizing data from multiple resources and using advanced excel to perform cost modelling; creating spend analysis for leadership review; and proficient with Oracle supply chain applications tools for performing advanced analytics.
