Job Summary About the Role The Mass General Physicians Organization Business Intelligence Team is seeking a collaborative Business Analyst to help teams access, understand, and use data to support operational decision-making. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders, translate business needs into clear reporting requirements, support reporting tools and workflows, and help ensure data and reports are accurate, reliable, and easy to use. What You'll Do- Partner with stakeholders to gather, evaluate, document, and prioritize data and reporting requests.
- Serve as a key point of contact for business intelligence requests, including intake, clarification, coordination, and follow-up.
- Respond promptly to high-priority tickets and customer requests, clarifying needs and providing guidance to ensure the final information addresses the issue.
- Translate business rules, workflows, and operational needs into clear reporting requirements and specifications for developers.
- Coordinate project queues and support resource planning, including assigning and tracking work through Workfront.
- Support the full reporting lifecycle, including requirements gathering, planning, development validation, testing, rollout, training, and production support.
- Validate reporting solutions before production release to ensure they meet user requirements and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with Operations, IT, vendors, customers, leadership, and business users to deliver reliable and useful information.
- Use knowledge of existing reports in IPORT, Epic, and other reporting tools to determine whether a new request can be met with an existing solution.
- Develop an understanding of Revenue Cycle data and related business processes to serve as a subject matter resource for reporting needs.
- Create documentation, process flows, best-practice scenarios, training materials, and specifications that support reporting and analytics work.
- Assist with end-user training and cross-train peers in relevant subject matter and technical areas.
- Contribute to project plans, establish baseline and target metrics, and participate in process improvement efforts across Finance
IS, MGPO
Finance, MGH, and MGB as needed.- May lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues.
