Our teams specialize in cloud modernization, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, enterprise IT operations, and digital transformation initiatives that enable government agencies to operate securely and efficiently. We are seeking a Cloud Business Analyst to support a large-scale Department of Defense cloud modernization program focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Operations and Services . This role bridges business objectives and cloud technology by translating operational needs into actionable requirements that improve cloud services, customer experience, and mission outcomes. Position Overview The Cloud Business Analyst II serves as the liaison between government stakeholders, product management, engineering teams, and cloud operations personnel. The successful candidate will analyze business and operational requirements, evaluate cloud service capabilities, identify opportunities for improvement, and help define scalable cloud solutions aligned with mission objectives. This individual will work in an Agile environment supporting enterprise cloud services while helping product teams prioritize initiatives that maximize customer value and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Management Gather, analyze, and document business and operational requirements. Translate complex technical information into clear business requirements and actionable recommendations. Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement. Develop user stories, business workflows, and functional documentation. Product & Cloud Service Support Partner with Product Managers to define product direction and cloud service enhancements. Evaluate business cases by considering strategic alignment, cost, benefit, and operational risk. Support prioritization of initiatives based on customer and mission value. Help define measurable business outcomes and adoption metrics. Stakeholder Engagement Facilitate meetings and workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Communicate recommendations clearly across engineering, operations, and leadership teams. Validate requirements and ensure alignment between customer expectations and technical implementation. Agile Delivery Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the product lifecycle. Assist teams in delivering cloud capabilities that meet customer needs and operational objectives. Required Qualifications Active Secret Security Clearance Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Cloud Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role Experience supporting cloud-based technologies or digital transformation initiatives Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience gathering and documenting business requirements Ability to analyze data and communicate findings to technical and executive audiences Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud certification such as: Google Associate Cloud Engineer Google Professional Cloud Architect AWS or Azure certifications Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government programs Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile management tools Knowledge of cloud operations, DevSecOps, or enterprise IT service management IND-1 Salary $100-120K
