The Role:
This is not a traditional Windchill administrator position. The team already has dedicated administrators supporting the platform. Seeking a lead-level professional who understands how PLM technology aligns with business processes and product development lifecycles. The ideal candidate will help optimize how the business leverages Windchill while providing high-level support and guidance across multiple functional areas Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a experienced Windchill professional who can operate beyond pure administration and support. They will understand how product development processes impact the business and will be capable of partnering with stakeholders to drive meaningful improvements across the product lifecycle. This individual should be comfortable providing Tier 3 support when necessary while maintaining a strategic focus on process improvement, Digital Thread initiatives, and maximizing the business value of the PLM ecosystem. Additional Skills & QualificationsPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with business leaders and IT teams to deliver Windchill solutions that support business objectives.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and functional stakeholders.
- Analyze, document, and improve business processes related to product lifecycle management.
- Drive adoption of PLM best practices, Digital Thread initiatives, and process improvements.
- Support engineering change management, workflows, and lifecycle governance.
- Lead cross-functional workshops to gather requirements and define future-state solutions.
- Manage and prioritize PLM backlogs as a Product Owner within an Agile environment.
- Develop training materials, work instructions, and user adoption documentation.
- Support integrations between Windchill, ERP systems, and manufacturing environments.
- Provide Tier 3 level support and escalation assistance while maintaining a strategic focus on business process optimization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of relevant PLM, Business Systems, or Product Development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on PTC Windchill experience.
- 2+ years of experience or exposure to PTC Creo (formerly Pro/Engineer).
- Experience supporting complex configurable products within manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, powersports, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of Engineering Change Management and workflow best practices.
- Experience working with BOMs and product data management.
- Experience supporting integrations between PLM, ERP, and manufacturing systems.
- Strong facilitation, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and drive clarity across teams.
