The CDSS Community Care Licensing Division is currently accepting applications for a Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) for the Chico Child Care Regional Office. The Child Care Program of CDSS is looking for motivated individuals who can handle a full range of licensing duties. This includes develop and implement orientations, training programs; review applications; recommend license approval/denial; perform on-site facility evaluations; investigate complaints in licensed and unlicensed facilities; recommend and prepare administrative actions to deny, revoke, and suspend facility licenses. Bilingual Spanish candidates preferred, but not required. The LPA will perform analytical and technical work related to the licensing and evaluation of facilities and may be lead for training of staff, participate on divisional or departmental policy development work groups, and represent the regional office in outreach programs. This regional office services areas such as: Butte, Colusa, Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yuba. Spanish bilingual preferred but not required. English-only candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Working Conditions This is an office-centered position, with occasional telework permitted. The role involves regular computer use for several hours a day, which primarily requires sitting but may also include brief periods of walking, standing, or climbing stairs. LPAs attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to their duties. Work hours and schedules may vary based on program needs. Frequent travel is required, and candidates must provide a valid driver's license of the appropriate class issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles at the time of hire. The reporting location for this position is 520 Cohasset Rd ST 170 Chico, CA 95926 This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N-22-25 the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required.
