Job Description

Primary Advisor — Business Strategy & Organizational Development Have you actually run parts of a business , not just advised from one functional specialty? Can you sit with an owner, hear six competing problems, quickly see what matters most, and help turn it into action? Do you want enough autonomy to think, challenge, build relationships, and make things happen — without having to build your own consulting practice? If yes, we should talk. Champion Empire is looking for a Primary Advisor to own the strategic relationship for a portfolio of growing businesses. This is a great role for an experienced operator, business leader, or advisor who still wants to build . You may have been a COO, President, GM, senior operations leader, OD/People executive, business coach, or consultant. Your exact title matters less than this: You understand how a whole business works. You can connect strategy, people, operations, financial performance, sales, leadership, and execution — and help an owner figure out what actually needs attention next. What You'll Do Diagnose the business. Get underneath symptoms, identify the real constraint, and help leaders focus on what matters most. Own the client journey. Keep priorities, plans, commitments, and next steps moving. Guide leaders. Facilitate, coach, challenge, and help owners and executives make better decisions. Connect the right expertise. Know when to lead the work yourself and when to bring in another specialist. Grow client value. Spot opportunities where additional support would genuinely help and confidently move the conversation forward. You'll Probably Love This If You… Are friendly, social, and credible with business owners, but do not need constant interaction or direction to get things done. Like autonomy and naturally notice what should happen next. Think strategically but can become detailed when the situation requires it. Have led through growth, change, complexity, or organizational messiness. Enjoy helping people solve problems more than protecting your own functional turf. Are comfortable challenging a leader respectfully. Learn quickly, use technology well, and are curious about AI and better ways of working. Want meaningful work with smart people and room to help shape what we are building. What You Bring C-suite, executive, GM, or comparable senior business leadership experience. Broad business exposure across multiple functions — not just one narrow specialty. Strong business strategy and financial acumen. Meaningful experience in organizational development, people systems, operations, leadership, or business transformation. Experience coaching, advising, developing, or leading other leaders. Enough business judgment to know when you have the answer — and when you need someone with deeper expertise. Experience in construction, trades, manufacturing, or other operational businesses is especially valuable. We strongly prefer experience in growing or changing organizations of roughly $25M-$250M in revenue and/or 45-250 employees . A Couple Important Fit Notes This is a full-time employee role , not an opportunity to add Champion to a portfolio of consulting clients. It is also not a narrow specialist role . If most of your career has stayed exclusively inside IT, finance, HR, marketing, or another single discipline without broader business leadership responsibility, this probably will not be the best fit. And this may not be the role for someone optimizing primarily for a traditional large-company executive compensation package. It may be a great fit if you care about impact, autonomy, merit-based opportunity, continued growth, and helping build something meaningful with us. The role is remote, with a preference for Greater Spokane, Las Vegas, or Seattle/Bellingham . You must be able to work effectively relative to Pacific Time and travel to Spokane approximately 2-3 times per year . What's Next Apply and complete the work traits assessment we send profile. Candidates selected to continue will receive instructions for a short video introduction. We are looking for someone who has been in the arena, understands business, likes people, thinks ahead, and still gets excited about making things better.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
