This role will use strategic frameworks, data analysis, and industry knowledge to inform decision-making and ensure alignment with business objectives.
What You'll Do:
This is a senior role that will uncover market dynamics, dive into competitive landscapes, and identify emerging threats and opportunities by synthesizing relevant signals. You will create executive level presentations that articulate the most important insights in shaping our strategic response to a rapidly evolving market.
Essential Functions:
Strategic Analysis & Insight Generation:
Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, geopolitical factors, and competitive intelligence to enrich strategic perspectives. Conduct rigorous analysis, synthesize information, and identify key trends and implications. Continuously Analyze market opportunities, including adjacent competitors and markets (e.g., emerging players, disruptive technologies, evolving ecosystems within the broader digital thread). Connect the dots between disparate pieces of information to build a comprehensive and forward-looking view of the competitive landscape. Actively explore and leverage AI tools and capabilities to enhance strategic analysis, accelerate insights generation, and improve the efficiency and depth of strategic thought leadership.
Executive-Level Communication & Visualization:
Craft compelling narratives and presentations that distill the most important strategic points for senior leaders. Create insightful, easy-to-understand visualizations that effectively communicate complex strategic concepts and data.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Operate independently, taking ownership of competitive intelligence projects from inception to delivery. Collaborate effectively with other members of the strategy team and experts across the broader organization on strategic initiatives. Act as a trusted advisor to management on competitive matters.
Skills you will bring:
Strong judgment, genuine curiosity, and clear, persuasive communication at the executive level. Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze "adjacent competitors" and "adjacent markets" and their potential impact. Deep understanding of business strategy, market dynamics, and competitive advantage. Strong grasp of financial statements, valuation metrics, and business model analysis.
Experience Required:
5+ years of proven experience evaluating markets, technologies, and competitors, turning analysis into action, preferably within a large, complex organization. Experience analyzing financial data and business models to assess competitive strength and market dynamics. Direct experience in enterprise software, SaaS, industrial software, or one of our segments is a plus. Bachelor's degree required. An MBA or other advanced degree is welcome but not required

  • 265,600 annually with a target incentive of 10-15 of the base salary.
