Senior Business Analyst & Quality Assurance Analyst About the Role As a Senior Business Analyst & Quality Assurance Analyst , you will make an impact by driving the successful delivery of healthcare and pharmacy technology solutions that support member enrollment, claims processing, and operational excellence. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Technology team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, architects, and testing teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
In This Role, You Will:
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user stories for healthcare and pharmacy technology initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and execute functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, and user acceptance test cases to validate application functionality and business requirements.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Validate healthcare claims, member enrollment processes, pharmacy inventory systems, API integrations, and EDI transactions to ensure data accuracy and system performance.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution while partnering with cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery in Agile and Waterfall environments.

Rest assured, we will always be clear about role expectations. What You Need to Have to Be Considered
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst, or BA/QA professional supporting healthcare, health insurance, pharmacy, or managed care organizations.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements, creating BRDs/FRDs, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and supporting end-to-end solution delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing for enterprise applications.
  • Experience supporting healthcare payer operations, including claims adjudication, member enrollment, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plans.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM/Quality Center, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar testing and defect management tools.
  • Experience performing SQL-based data validation, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and analyzing complex business processes.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, and SDLC methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams. These Will Help You Stand Out
  • Experience working with EDI healthcare transactions, including X12 837, 835, 834, 270/271, 850, 810, and 856 transaction sets.
  • Experience with healthcare platforms such as Facets, PEGA, and
EPIC EHR.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman and validation of
JSON/XML
transactions.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations, pharmaceutical inventory management, supply chain systems, or specialty pharmacy environments.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and DSCSA compliance.
  • Experience leading offshore QA teams, coordinating testing efforts, and driving test execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Familiarity with PI Planning, backlog grooming, sprint ceremonies, and other SAFe Agile practices.

Salary and Other Compensation :
Applications will be accepted until September 15, 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $88,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
