Competitive / Commensurate with experience About the Role Seeking a proactive and client-focused Treasury Management Officer to expand, manage, and optimize commercial cash management relationships at ValueBank Texas in Corpus Christi, TX. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to commercial clients and prospects, analyzing their cash flow lifecycles and delivering tailored payment, collection, and fraud prevention solutions. You will partner closely with commercial lenders, branch managers, and Deposit Operations to drive commercial deposit growth, increase treasury fee income, and ensure a smooth onboarding and servicing experience.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Pipeline Growth:
Build and maintain an active treasury sales pipeline through direct prospecting, community networking, client referrals, and joint calling efforts with commercial lenders and branch managers.
Client Advisory & Solution Design:
Analyze prospective clients' cash flow processes, operational workflows, and account structures to recommend customized treasury management products and services.
Product Execution & Sales Presentations:
Author and deliver professional proposals and presentations; guide clients through agreement execution and collaborate with operations teams for timely solution implementation.
Relationship Management & Retention:
Act as the dedicated treasury relationship manager for assigned business accounts, conducting periodic reviews, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and addressing service inquiries.
Product Subject Matter Expertise:
Maintain deep knowledge across key cash management offerings, including ACH Origination, Wire Transfers, Positive Pay and fraud mitigation tools, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), Merchant Services, Commercial Card Solutions, Sweep Accounts, and Business Online Banking.
Compliance & CRM Tracking:
Accurately document all calling activity and pipeline milestones in the Bank's CRM; ensure all sales practices comply with federal/state banking regulations, BSA/AML standards, and information security policies.
Travel:
Regularly travel locally to client offices and off-site business development events.
Required Qualifications & Experience Banking & Sales Background:
Minimum of 5 years of banking experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to treasury management, commercial banking, business development, or related B2B financial sales.
Consultative Selling:
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding commercial deposit growth and treasury fee income targets.
Financial Acumen:
Strong capability to interpret commercial financial data, evaluate payment workflows, and structure cash management services.
Technical & Platform Skills:
Proficiency in standard banking technology platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Communication & Professionalism:
Excellent consultative negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation. Established commercial network and familiarity with the Corpus Christi / Coastal Bend business market.
