Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time (20 hours a week) Business Analyst with Power BI to support operational reporting and performance analysis for a growing team in Dallas, Texas. This Remote Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who can quickly step into a fast-paced environment, turn complex data into practical insights, and help leaders make informed decisions. The role focuses on dashboard development, KPI tracking, forecasting support, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen reporting accuracy and business planning.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and analytical reports that highlight business performance, trends, and key operational indicators.
- Evaluate capacity, resource usage, productivity, and project-related metrics to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver timely ad hoc analysis and executive-ready reporting to support leadership decisions in a dynamic operating environment.
- Develop forecasting tools and benchmarking approaches that help guide planning, prioritization, and strategic discussions.
- Partner with stakeholders across teams to align reporting inputs, improve data integrity, and simplify recurring reporting processes.
- Compile research and operational information from multiple sources to support budget-related reviews, planning activities, and departmental analysis.
- Translate data findings into clear business recommendations that non-technical stakeholders can easily understand and act upon.
- Assist with ongoing operational coordination and administrative analysis that supports departmental goals and performance management. Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, operations analysis, reporting, or a related function.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and visual reports in Power BI.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
- Ability to interpret data, explain results clearly, and present actionable insights to business stakeholders and leadership audiences.
- Experience performing KPI reporting, trend analysis, forecasting, variance review, and other ad hoc analytical work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and move efficiently between tasks.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; comparable relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Relevant certifications are a plus, and candidates should be prepared to share non-confidential examples of past reporting or data presentation work.
