Full-Time Position Overview A privately held oil & gas company in Midland, Texas is seeking a Revenue Analyst / Revenue Accountant to manage revenue accounting across a portfolio consisting primarily of non-operated working interests, royalty interests, mineral interests, and family-owned oil & gas assets . This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring revenue and expenses are accurately recorded, reconciled, and allocated across multiple wells, properties, and ownership interests. The ideal candidate will have strong oil & gas accounting experience and understand the unique accounting associated with non-operated properties, royalties, and JIBs . Key Responsibilities Manage the full revenue accounting process for a portfolio of oil & gas properties. Handle revenue primarily associated with non-operated wells, royalty interests, mineral interests, and family-owned assets . Record and reconcile monthly oil & gas revenue entries. Review operator and purchaser statements for volumes, pricing, deductions, ownership interests, and payments. Review and process Joint Interest Billing (JIB) statements from operating partners. Reconcile JIB expenses to individual wells, properties, entities, and ownership interests. Track revenue and expenses across multiple family entities and oil & gas assets . Review royalty payments and ensure revenue is properly allocated and recorded. Research discrepancies involving ownership, revenue, expenses, deductions, suspense, and payments. Maintain accurate well-level and property-level accounting records. Assist with monthly close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Utilize Integra for oil & gas accounting and reporting. Utilize CDEX data for revenue, JIB, and other electronic oil & gas accounting information. Communicate with operators, purchasers, land professionals, and other third parties to research and resolve discrepancies. Assist with reporting and analysis related to the family's oil & gas portfolio and other assets. Support special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed within a small, entrepreneurial organization. Qualifications Previous oil & gas revenue accounting experience required. Strong experience with non-operated oil & gas properties highly preferred. Knowledge of royalty and mineral interest accounting . Experience reviewing and reconciling JIB statements . Experience with Integra strongly preferred. Experience with or knowledge of CDEX preferred. Understanding of working interests, royalty interests, ownership decimals, revenue distributions, and oil & gas deductions. Strong Excel, reconciliation, and analytical skills. Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple wells, entities, and ownership interests. Comfortable working independently in a small-company/family-office environment . Accounting or Finance degree preferred; relevant oil & gas accounting experience will also be considered. Ideal Background The ideal candidate may currently be working as a Revenue Accountant, Revenue Analyst, Oil & Gas Accountant, JIB Accountant, or Property Accountant and have experience managing a portfolio of non-operated wells and royalty/mineral interests .
