Job Description

Job Title:
Revenue Accounting Analyst Locations:
Weatherford, TX Reports to:
Accounting & Finance Manager FLSA:
Full-Time Annual Salary:
$75,000-$95,000
Travel Requirements:
Ad hoc (10%)
Position Summary:
The Revenue Accounting Analyst is responsible for accurately billing customers, reconciling recognized revenue, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring timely collection of payments in a fast-paced aviation environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, a thorough understanding of aviation services and billing, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with customers, internal team, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately record and reconcile revenue transactions across multiple revenue streams and locations.
  • Generate and review customer invoices for fuel sales, hangar and office rental, and other aviation-related services.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate posting of payments to tenant's and other customer's accounts, resolve any discrepancies, and respond in a timely and professional manner to tenant and other customer inquiries.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities, including preparation of assigned account reconciliation and journals.
  • Interface with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit processes.
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable through the establishment of professional relationships with the Company's client base.
  • Analyze tenant lease agreements for terms, conditions, and payment schedules to ensure proper accounting treatment.
  • Collaborate with sales, payables, and corporate accounting departments to ensure policies and procedures comply with professional standards.
  • Generate regular reporting relating to accounts receivable aging, cash receipts, and credit memos as applicable.
  • Perform complex reconciliations of aircraft fuel billing data and assist in any follow up research necessary for related investigations.
  • Maintain and perform Sarbanes Oxley controls over revenue recognition and reporting.
  • Assist corporate accounting in other capacities as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in revenue or general corporate accounting or a Big 4 public accounting firm.
  • Understanding of US GAAP accounting standards; familiarity with ASC 842 and ASC 606 preferred.
  • Experience in real estate, leasing, Fixed Base Operations, or a high-growth industry strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with cloud-based ERP system software and knowledge of the financial impact of sales and receivable transactions; experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP a plus.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, communication, math, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Detail oriented with a high regard for precision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross functional teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft suite skills, particularly Excel.
