Location (city, state): Bentonville, AR Job site or office: Bentonville, AR Pay range: $ 48,000-$55,000 depending on experience Job type (Full-time / Part-time): Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a hands-on Procurement Manager to handle the sourcing, purchasing, and on-site management of materials and equipment for our projects. This is an active, in-the-field role: in addition to purchasing and vendor management, the Procurement Manager operates material-handling equipment (forklift, "donkey"/telehandler, skid steer), loads and unloads deliveries, and manages materials on site — counting, moving, staging, protecting them from the weather, and keeping inventory accurate. Key Responsibilities Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, supplies, and equipment for projects. Manage vendor and supplier relationships and evaluate pricing, quality, and delivery. Issue and track purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records. Coordinate deliveries and logistics to keep job sites supplied on schedule. Operate a forklift, "donkey" (telehandler), and skid steer to move materials around the site. Load and unload deliveries safely and correctly.
Manage materials on site:
counting, moving, staging, and protecting them from the weather. Maintain accurate inventory and track materials from delivery through installation. Work with Project Managers and field crews to forecast material and equipment needs. Identify cost savings and maintain compliance with company purchasing policies. Qualifications & Requirements 2+ years of procurement, purchasing, or material-management experience in construction. Ability to safely operate a forklift, telehandler ("donkey"), and skid steer. Experience loading/unloading deliveries and moving and staging materials on a job site. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for counting and inventory. Comfortable with purchasing/inventory software and spreadsheets. Valid driver's license; clean driving record. Preferred Forklift or equipment operator certification. Knowledge of construction materials and how to protect/store them. Negotiation and vendor-management experience. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Active job-site role combined with purchasing/inventory work. Able to operate material-handling equipment, work outdoors in varying weather, and lift up to 50 lbs. On your feet, moving and staging materials for much of the day. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay $48,000-$55,000 depending on experience.
