is seeking an experienced Buyer to support strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost reduction, and purchasing activities. This position will help identify new suppliers and develop existing supplier relationships to support Operations, Sales, and Engineering while meeting company standards for cost, quality, delivery, and technical support. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials. Identify and evaluate new suppliers, technologies, and sourcing opportunities. Support supplier selection and development in partnership with Operations, Engineering, Logistics, and Technical Centers. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and other commercial terms to achieve cost-reduction goals. Establish and monitor supplier targets for cost, quality, delivery, and technical support. Support supplier certification and compliance with MUVIQ standards. Track tariffs, surcharges, and other factors impacting purchasing costs. Manage indirect purchasing activities and supplier relationships. Support APQP, lean supply chain, continuous improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives. Participate in budgeting, financial planning, and relevant professional development activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. CPM or CPP certification preferred. Strong purchasing, negotiation, and project management skills. Knowledge of contract law, finance, and manufacturing processes. Experience with successful cost-reduction initiatives. Automotive manufacturing experience preferred. Experience with die castings, plastic injection molding, fasteners, rubber, and tubing preferred. Global contract management experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Work Environment & Travel This is primarily an office-based position with travel of up to 25% to plants, distribution centers, suppliers, and/or technical centers. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a strong negotiator and relationship builder who can manage multiple priorities, work effectively across departments, and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
