Non-exempt Position Summary:
Provides support to Corporate Buyers by assisting them with the process of merchandising, selection and development, sales, analysis and vendor management.
Essential Functions:
Receives purchase orders from various buying departments. Confirms pricing with supplier Corrects pricing and/or weights on purchase orders Changes delivery date as instructed Releases purchase orders Faxes purchase orders to suppliers Assists with price out of different suppliers and delivery Will assist with food safety recalls by completing paperwork such as checklist for recalled items and spreadsheets with required information for supplier and/or regulatory agencies. Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
Bachelor's Degree, OR High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years experience OR Any appropriate combination of education and experience. Effective oral and written communication skills. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
Computer Literacy Work Environment:
Average office environment, air-conditioned in the summer. Accessibility to computers, phone, fax, copiers etc. on premises.
